The things I am most thankful for...

I am thankful for my testimony of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I truly believe that my Heavenly Father blesses me every day because I follow his commandments and teach my children to follow them as well.
I am thankful for a loving and supportive husband. He loves me in spite of me and I love him madly for it. He is the only man I can see my self with for all eternity.
I am thankful for my children. Even though Connor was totally unexpected he is the Cherry on top. Julia is the light of our family and she will always be one of my best friends.
I am thankful for all of my parents (Gary and Loretta, and Noel). I have been blessed with parents who have raised and supported me through everything.
I am thankful for all of my brothers and sisters. I can't imagine my life with out Roy, Gary Jr., Jae, Mike, Jeremy, Windy and Wes.
I am thankful for all of you. My friends who are there for me, encouraging me and basically just hanging out with me. I have a lot to be thankful for, especially now that I have you.
Happy Thanksgiving!!

Twilight - I know you want to hear it!

I decided on Saturday night I couldn't wait any more. I had to see it. It was seriously driving me crazy (and it had only been out for 3 days). I was worried that it was going to be horrible but because I loved the books so much I was also worried that I would miss out on just seeing a good movie. I hadn't heard any reviews about it yet, so I needed to go see it before I started getting all the reviews (good or bad). So Steve and I went. It was great. It was entertaining and I loved all the people they got to play the characters. I had seen photos of the guy that played Edward and thought that it wasn't a good match but on the big screen he was very cute! I am going to see it again with my sis and we are going on a double date with our friends the Combe's to watch it again on Friday. I can't wait. Oh and I will be buying it. Now it is just passing time until the next one comes out. I hate the wait.

Running Update

So this last week I took the week off, from running any way. My school work and other life cycles were getting the best of me and I had enough. So I de-stressed this week and running was one of the things I could cut. However today I hit the pavement and pushed myself hard. I ran my best time to date. I ran 4.75 miles and did it in 56 minutes (11:58 min/mile). It was awesome although I was really dehydrated cause I kept getting side cramps along the route, it sucked. Oh well though it felt great and I need to push myself more often. This week, on Friday, I am running again on one of Windy's routes. She says she has an easier one that is over 6 miles so I can't wait.

Running Update

Windy and I went running again tonight. This time we took a route by her house. It was a fun run. My calves were killing the first little, long hill and it amazed me that they were that tight. There were a total of 10 hills with Hill #7 being the kicker of a hill. It was tough but I loved it. It was great for my thigh muscles I could feel them working over time. I did my little scream song at the top and carried on. We finished 6.6 miles in 1 hour and 21 minutes, making it our best time ever. We were so happy. Then we looked at the elevation maps for the run and my calves hurting at the beginning made sense. We climbed over 200 feet in the first mile and all the rest were just short little climbs compared to the first one. Even hill #7 wasn't as big as the first mile. It shocked both of us and even Matt. I want to do that again! Love ya Windy, thanks for the great run!

Running Update

Yesterday (Friday) my 2nd Best Friend in the whole world ran with me. Windy and I did my 6.5 mile route and ended up going 6.85 miles in the whole 1 hours and 27 minutes we ran. It was awesome! I have never in my life ever run with her. When I was in Track and Field in High School I couldn't get her to run a mile with me. We kept eachother moving and we actually finished in a record time for both of us. Along the way we chatted and laughed and even joked about stopping at the Arctic Circle we passed to get something to eat but realized we both forgot our wallets. LOL. I love you sis! Keep up the great work and see you next week when we run on your turf!

Today I ran my 4 miles. I talked to my brother (the Doc) and he told me to try to lower my Cholesterol by running every day. So I have started running every day at least 4 miles (That takes me about an hour, well a little less so it ends up being about 4.5) It has been going well but on Thursday my knee was a little achey so I didn't run that day and it felt better by Friday. I think I am going to like it. It is nice to be able to do it every day but not have to. I found a Half Marathon that I want to do in April (The SLC Marathon) so if you guys aren't doing anything on April 14, 2009, I will start training in Late January, let me know. It will be lots of fun and a great challenge.

You know my motto...

Family Pictures Attempt 1

I attempted to take family pictures on Sunday (yes the day it snowed) and it was a futile attempt. First it was really windy and cold, second the spot I chose, while a cute little park was full of hungry loud ducks. Connor was opposed to the ducks and was encouraged to cry by his sister. So much for fall beauty. There will be other attempts. I will keep you posted.

Last Day of Lagoon

No they aren't twins, Windy!

Connor's favorite ride through the whole year!

Connor's least favorite ride. At least he didn't cry when I put him in it this time. Just after it started.
My least favorite ride, the Swings, adult ones not kiddie ones. I am finally small enough to ride it but it still scared the crap out of me. Julia was brave though and helped me through it.

Connor's second favorite ride. Julia almost cried when we told her that she was too big for it.

Connor called this ride, Buzz. Seems like we all have Disney on the brain.

The last train ride, for Julia any ways. Connor rode it one more time with Daddy.
