Sweet Potato Chips

For those who know me, you know I can't eat Potato's any more. I have been enjoying other types of chips like soy crisps and seed crackers which while they do serve a useful purpose to me have no real flavor. Yesterday a friend from work said that she found sweet potato chips at Wal-Mart and checked the ingredients and she thought I could eat them. I have learned from previous trips to the store not to get my hopes up too high because so far all the chips I have seen that were sweet potato had all the other stuff (corn, wheat or regular potato starches) added to them. So I went this morning and low and behold she was right! I was so excited Terra Sweet Potato Chips!! YAH!!!! I bought two bags. I tasted them and found that while they are ok (not as light as regular potato chips), I did need to add salt (they don't contain any salt). They tasted even better. I am so very happy. They do have different varietys that contain salt so I hope Wal-Mart stocks the others next time I visit.
Thank you Jill!!!

Sunday Driving

Today we skipped church for a drive. We rolled the dice and it told us to go North so we drove an hour north (heading towards Boise since we usually go to Idaho Falls when we go to Montana). If you head north on I-15 then curve onto I-84 you and drive for an hour you end up just outside a little town called Snowville. It is a very small town but at least they have services. They also had this cute little park that had tons of picnic tables and a little, very old playground. The weather was beautiful and made the drive perfect. We played for an hour and then headed back. What a great day!!

Julia's Our Soccer Champion

Julia's last soccer game was today and she finished a winner. Their team won by 1 point (even though they don't keep score). She learned a lot this year so we can't wait to see what she will do next year. I learned a little and she only got mad at me a couple of times. Boy I need to shape up and be a better Soccer Mom. :) Good job Julia we are so proud of you!!!

Whoop there goes another one...

Julia lost another tooth today but what made this one special was that she was eating popcorn at the time and thought it was a kernal so she swallowed it. She was so upset! Aunt Windy was watching her and assured her that the toothfairy would still be there tonight to replace the tooth with a dollar. The toothfairy of course will not be looking for the tooth, ever!! HAHA!!

Why is he so sad?

Today Connor's highchair went bye bye. He wasn't using it a whole lot so I made the decision to get rid of it. At first he was ok but then when his Daddy picked it up and started toward the door the tears fell. Oh poor kid. Rough day!
This was obviously before the tears but I had to get a picture because we have had this chair for a while (both Julia and Connor used it) and it was worth taking a memento shot.Posted by Picasa

A Day of fun with my boy

I had a great morning with Connor, Windy, Jeffrey and Christopher. I found out the the Union Station is host to a Steam Engine for the weekend and it was free to the public. So we spent the morning looking at it. The kids got free hats, bandannas, a picture and puzzles. It was fun and they loved the train. They wanted to ride it but they aren't giving rides so we decided to ride Frontrunner instead. We took it to Roy and the kids had a great morning. I am going to love this day off every two weeks so much.
Connor couldn't say Conductor so he kept saying Doctor. It was funny. This was a huge shovel that they have at the Roy Frontrunner station. They are part of a whole bunch of them that are sporadically placed over the grounds. It was really funny to see and the kids thought it was weird to see a really big shovel.

Bike Time Fun

Ever since Connor got his new bike (a hand me down from Christopher) we have it setup like this in our living room. He was afraid to get on it so we improvised and now look at him go.
Julia without training wheels. In one day her Granddaddy taught her to ride without her training wheels. Ok ok yes we know she needs a new bike but we are so proud of her!!
