Two fabulous things happened just within a half hour of each other and I had to share. Julia, Connor and I went walking a mile tonight (since we are preparing for our Stake Run/Walk on Sept. 6th) and Julia ran the whole first half of the mile. She was going to run the whole thing but a wiener dog scared her and she lost her momentum. But I was so proud of her for doing it. She stretched with me and after and ran like a champ. Way to go Julia.
Then I put them in the tub after we ran. It was a good way for them to cool off and also to get clean. I always have Connor sit on the little potty (just to get the habit down) and tell him to go potty. He usually sits there for a minute and then says it is coming (but nothing ever does) and then he says he is done. Well today I was distracted and he and Julia sat on the pot together. I came back in from putting his dirty clothes in his hamper and there was a stream coming out. I was awe struck. It was so cool. He didn't even say anything but just looked down and said nothing. I was elated and trying not to scare the poor kid so I gave him high five and told him he was so very good. I hope this is a sign of things to come but I won't push it. I promise, I won't. (crossing fingers)!!
I have two great, awesome, fabulous and amazing kids!!

That's awesome! I'm sure we'll be looking to you for advice when it's time to potty train Adam.
Mindy, I forgot to comment on your 5K post so I'll comment here so you'll see it. I'm so proud of you. I am worried for my run on Sept. 6th. I have been so stinkin' busy this week that I haven't been able to run at all. I'm scared it will really screw up my endurance for the final day. Oh well, maybe I can get my butt in gear next week. When was the final day you ran on the week of the race?
